Patricia Piccinini's Skywhalepapa is a monumental sculpture in the form of a hot-air balloon and a new companion piece to Skywhale – together they form a skywhale family. During their tour to the Araluen Arts Centre, GUTS Dance collaborated with the National Gallery of Australia, Patricia Piccini and composer Jess Green (AKA Phone) to choreograph a large-scale joyous choreography to accompany the flight of the skywhales in September 2022 in Mparntwe.

Part early morning party, part ode to the awe of the sculptures, on the morning of the launch community joined in the magic movements led by GUTS Dance and the young women of Brave Bodies.
